Data Downloading Interface
- This tool enables the selection and download of FIA DWM and tree mass data by either state or ecoregion. (If choosing a state subset, be sure to click ALL in the ecoregion selection box and vice versa for choosing an ecoregion subset.)
- In addition the user can select ALL (default) or a subset of attribute variables for download. (To select a subset, hold down the <CTRL> key and click on desired variables.)
- The server will provide data in plain-text, tab-delimited format that may be opened in a spreadsheet program such as MS-Excel. However, manual import is recommended if data are going to be merged with other FIA data on a plot-basis.
- Variable names in the output file are in abbreviated format. Please refer to the Data Dictionary for variable name descriptions. Also, variable names in uppercase are defined by FIA.
